Bring a question worth examining.
Pursuit of Precision brings researchers, physicians, scientists, and other informed voices into long-form conversations about how medicine moves from discovery to clinical practice.
Each episode begins with a focused question.
We explore what the evidence shows, where it remains incomplete, what stands in the way of translation, and what could meaningfully change the way medicine is understood or care is delivered.
We welcome guests who bring depth and firsthand expertise to medicine, science, research, health care, and clinical innovation—including those conducting research, caring for patients, developing new approaches, studying health systems, or confronting the practical challenges of translating evidence into practice.
You do not need to arrive with every answer.
A strong conversation may begin with a finding, a difficult clinical question, a limitation in current practice, a promising discovery, or an idea that still requires careful evaluation.
If your work gives you a meaningful perspective on one of those questions, we want to hear from you.
Pursuit of Precision uses a structured interview framework designed to move beyond headlines and explore the full path from scientific question to real-world impact.
Who are you, what is your area of expertise, and what perspective do you bring to this question?
What is the scientific or clinical problem we are actually trying to understand or solve?
What does the current evidence show—and how strong, reproducible, and clinically meaningful is it?
What, if anything, does the evidence mean for clinical practice today?
What remains uncertain, contradictory, understudied, or simply unknown?
What emerging research, technologies, or hypotheses could move the field forward?
What stands between discovery and meaningful adoption in real-world medicine?
Does the intervention meaningfully improve outcomes that matter—or are we relying on biomarkers, mechanisms, or surrogate endpoints?
What needs to happen next: validation, replication, better trials, implementation, education, or further research?
The goal is not to force consensus or manufacture certainty.
Science evolves. Evidence changes. Good questions sometimes reveal that the most scientifically responsible answer is:
We don't know yet.
We are interested in separating biological plausibility from demonstrated benefit, association from causation, surrogate endpoints from meaningful outcomes, and promising hypotheses from established clinical evidence.
The purpose of the conversation is not to make every idea sound compelling.
It is to examine whether the evidence earns the conclusion.
Pursuit of Precision maintains an independent editorial perspective.
Guests may discuss their research, organizations, technologies, products, or commercial work when directly relevant to the subject. However, an appearance on Pursuit of Precision is not a product endorsement, sponsored recommendation, or scripted promotion.
Guests should be prepared to engage professionally with the evidence—including its strengths, limitations, conflicting findings, and uncertainties.
The question comes first. The evidence follows. The conclusion has to be earned.
Tell us who you are, the work you are doing, the subject you would like to discuss, and the question you believe deserves a deeper conversation.
Your application will help our team understand your expertise and determine whether there is a focused topic appropriate for a future episode.
